Coláiste Chiaráin the first Secondary School to become examination centre for DELE exams

Otro triunfo para Coláiste Chiaráin – Another First for Coláiste Chiaráin

Coláiste Chiaráin has for many years offered a comprehensive offering of Modern Foreign Languages to students at all levels. The school currently offers French, German, Spanish and Italian to Leaving Certificate level. It also offers Chinese as a Junior Certificate Short Course and Form 4 elective.

Coláiste Chiaráin is now delighted and proud to announce that they have now become the only secondary school in Ireland that is an official examination centre for the prestigious DELE exams. DELE stands for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language).

These Diplomas are the only official and internationally recognized qualifications issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, accrediting levels of competence and command of the Spanish language.

Coláiste Chiaráin students as well as students from any other secondary schools will soon be able to enrol for the forthcoming examinations which will take place on campus at the end of May 2019.

Why take the examination?

DELE is the only official Diploma in Spanish internationally recognised by corporations (providing better salaries), Chambers of Commerce and private and public educational institutions in the world. It does not expire and it does not have to be renewed, so you will hold your qualification for life.

Who can take the examination?
Any individual who is studying in secondary school and wants to obtain a qualification in Spanish language.
