The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and Limerick and Clare ETB have announced the addition of a new programme to its existing Tertiary Degree pathways partnership. Developed in collaboration with the National Tertiary Office (NTO), this innovative programme will provide from this September a clear, non-CAO progression route for students pursuing a degree in Mental Health Nursing.

Limerick and Clare ETB has approved the application by Treaty United FC to partner with its College of FET to deliver a new Player Development Programme. The announcement represents a significant step forward for football and further education and training in the region, creating a structured dual pathway that combines elite football development with a fully-accredited QQI Level 5 qualification.

Students from schools across Limerick and Clare showcased innovative climate action projects at the second annual ‘Make A Switch’ final. Organised by Limerick and Clare ETB, the competition promotes student-led responses to climate change, bringing together Primary and Post-Primary schools to develop practical, creative solutions focused on sustainability and environmentally responsible living.

Educators, learners and community partners from across Ireland gathered in Limerick for the recent Diversity and Intercultural Education Network (DIEN) annual Spring Conference hosted this year by Limerick and Clare ETB. The conference theme focused on celebrating diversity and exploring how education can create welcoming, inclusive spaces for all.
Schools across the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board recently played host to teachers from Ireland, Latvia and Spain as part of the IDEAL Futures Teacher Academy, a European project focused on digital teaching and learning.
