Doras competition

Dion Picard  a second year pupil and Ciara Hayes a third year of Colaiste na Trocaire were winners of the recent competition organised by Doras Luimni.

Each student received a Kindle Paper White Reader. This competition sponsored by Doras Luimni aimed to raise awareness around prejudice, racism and discrimination in Irish society.  Students were asked to submit a poem, a short story or a one-act play.  The English Department in Coláiste na Trócaire were commended for the high standard of work and number of entries submitted.  In recognition of this the English Department were  presented with a book voucher worth 100 euro for O’Mahony’s Bookshop.

Well done to all students who submitted entries and to Ms Annette O’Brien and Ms Jackie Holly teachers of the winning students.
