Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin visits Coláiste Chiaráin

Coláiste Chiaráin had the height of academia present as they played host to the Ireland Professor of Poetry, Eiléan Ni Chuileanáin. Ni Chuileanáin is the shining star of Irish poetry and is currently a prescribed poet on the Leaving Certificate English course. She gave a reading of her poems on the Leaving Cert programme and gave huge personal insights into her poetry that will prove invaluable to the 5th and 6th years in their studies. The students were thrilled to have the opportunity to inveigle her poetic machinations from her. She spoke in-depth about each poem on the Leaving Cert course, fielding question after question from the enraptured audience. Coláiste Chiaráin is the only school in Munster to successfully host Eiléan in this academic year, a huge feather in the cap for all concerned
