Who is this page for?
Staff members and other beneficiaries of Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB) who are seeking information relating to their pension scheme and/or other superannuation-related matters.
Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board administers a number of Public Sector Pension Schemes. You’ll find helpful links below to information on the various schemes. This information is designed to only give a general guide to the pension schemes and does not purport to be a legal interpretation. Therefore, it cannot confer any rights which are not conferred by the Superannuation Schemes themselves.

The relevant notice period for the receipt of applications from eligible SPSPS Scheme Members to enter into a purchase contract(s) for the purchase of referable amounts is 1st October – 30th November of each year. Applications will not be accepted outside of this period. Further information is available on the links below, including the relevant Circular issued by DPER (Circular 15/2019).

If you are currently in receipt of a Pension/Spouses’ and Children’s Pension/Widows’ and Orphans’ Pension from Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (or City of Limerick VEC, County Limerick VEC, County Clare VEC), the Paymaster for these pensions is the National Shared Services Office (NSSO).
