PUBLIC MEETING ON MUSIC INITIATIVE FOR

YOUNG PEOPLE IN COUNTY LIMERICK

WOODLANDS HOUSE HOTEL, ADARE, COUNTY LIMERICK

Music Generation is Ireland’s National Music Education Programme, a unique and pioneering initiative co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds and the Department of Education and Skills, that enables children and young people to access high quality affordable music tuition in their local area.  Since its foundation in 2010, nationally Music Generation has achieved its objectives 18 months ahead of schedule, transforming the lives of over 20,000 young people and children annually who participate in over 60 programmes, across all genres of music, which take place in our network of more than 360 music centres across the country.

Everyone in County Limerick with an interest in music for the next generation are invited to attend a public information meeting on Thursday, 30th March at the Woodlands House Hotel at 7pm. A steering committee, interested in developing and improving the infrastructure for music education in County Limerick, will present information on Ireland’s National Music Education Programme, Music Generation.
