Students from Desmond College win First Prize at the Bord Bia Listowel Food Academy

The second year students attended the Food Academy and Bord Bia schools competition which is part of the Listowel Food Fair on Friday November 9 th.

Martin Campbell, Orla Mullane, Natalia Labuda and Alzbeta Barisova won first place in the junior category competition for their innovative project. The project was completed under the guidance of their Home Economics teacher, Ms. Boohan.

To further congratulate the students of Desmond college on their wonderful achievement, Chef Nevin McGuire presented their teacher with a signed copy of his new cookery book “Home economics for Life” for the school library.
