Strong ETB Schools Participation at BTYSTE 21

The 57th BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition was held online from Wednesday 6th to Friday 8th January 2021 and was officially opened by President Michael D. Higgins. The Taoiseach, Micheál Martin TD, also delivered a virtual good luck message to all participants on Tuesday 5th January. Over 1,000 students from across 200 schools in Ireland took part in the first-ever virtual running of the event.

A total of 22 projects from Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board post-primary schools qualified this year, with 9 of our schools from across the region represented. George O’Callaghan, Chief Executive, complimented all the students and staff involved in this year’s exhibition. He said: “I was delighted to see such a significant increase this year in the number of projects that were chosen from our schools for this very significant competition.”
