Deirdre Clune, MEP for the Ireland South Constituency, visited Coláiste Chiaráin on Thursday to meet the many students studying European Studies and in particular the Transition Year students taking part in the European Parliament Ambassador School Programme. Deirdre spoke to the assembled students about her daily life working as an MEP and the particular areas she is currently working on. The students questioned Deirdre on the different potential effects of Brexit on Ireland and about Climate Change.
European Studies continues to be a popular choice with the Coláiste Chiaráin students as a Junior Cycle short course and Transition Year Module.
