Limerick College of Further Education (LCFE), a long-established, state-funded and administered Further Education and Training College is one of the largest Colleges of Further Education in Ireland. It is one of many centres of education run by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB). It is now enrolling for its autumn intake and places are filing up quickly. Interviews will take place on 25^th and 26^th of August. You are advised to apply now in order to get called for an August interview.

The comprehensive range of courses available at LCFE displays the College’s ability to respond to national and local industry needs. LCFE’s cultivation of partnerships at local, regional, national and international levels is important and helps ensure a best practice, quality assured, unique approach to FET teaching and learning. For example, LCFE is a Smarter Travel Campus, has progression links with Tralee IT, Mary Immaculate College and University of Limerick and a new Collaboration Agreement offering seamless learner progression from LCFE to LIT. Many of last year’s students have progressed to LIT, UL, MIC and elsewhere and some directly to paid employment.

LCFE and its students have had many successes during the past academic year winning a College Awareness Award for Innovative and Creative Event ideas, first and second place in the National Transport Authority’s Multimedia Awards, News Photographer of the Year at the National Student Media Awards to name but a few.
