Limerick and Clare ETB Community Colleges Celebrate Exceptional Achievement at BT Young Scientist Competition

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board is delighted to acknowledge the very impressive number of its students who have qualified for the prestigious BT Young Scientist Exhibition, set to take place in January 2024. This outstanding achievement reflects the exceptional talent and dedication of Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board Community Colleges and Community Schools’ students and their dedicated teachers.

The BT Young Scientist Exhibition is Ireland’s largest and most prestigious science and technology exhibition for young people. Each year, the exhibition attracts over 500 projects from schools across the country. This year, Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board students have once again demonstrated their ability to innovate and explore the world around them, with a total of twenty-three (23) projects qualifying for the exhibition including multiple entries from Castletroy College, Coláiste Chiaráin, Coláiste Íde agus Iosef, Coláiste Iósaef, Desmond College, Ennistymon Community School, Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh, John the Baptist Community School and St John Bosco Community College.

The qualifying projects from Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board students span a wide range of scientific disciplines and are detailed in the table below. This diversity of projects reflects the breadth of scientific talent within the Limerick and Clare ETB community.
