Limerick College of Further Education (LCFE) ran a very successful Health and Well -being Week from 17th to 22nd October for learners and staff alike. It kicked off with the screening of the award winning movie TRANsition which was directed by one of our past learners, Robert Cunningham.
Healthy food featured strongly with our Advanced Sport hosting a fantastic Cheerios Breakfast Morning in aid of Childline on the Tuesday and our Hospitality learners giving us all a super demonstration in Smoothie making on the Thursday morning. The proceeds of over €450 from the week’s events are being split between Childline and Milford Hospice, as decided by the Advanced Sport group.
Various workshops in Nutrition, Yoga and Mindfulness ran throughout the week and were thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended, and very well done to all who partook in our very first College Fun Run/Walk.
LCFE were delighted to have both GOSHH and Smarter Travel on campus with us during the week. Health and Well-being Week 2016 was an outstanding success. Well done to all who got involved.
