Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board marked a significantly successful year for its Community Colleges and their participating students at the 60th BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2024 who showcased a wide range of innovative and thought-provoking projects.

Seán O’Sullivan, a 5th year student from Coláiste Chiaráin, has been announced as this year’s winner of the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition. He and his school has been commended on this outstanding achievement.

BD STEM Stars is now open to schools all over the Munster region for 2023/24 registrations, which will see a shortlisted group of schools invited to BD Research Centre Ireland for the final in March 2024.

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board Schools Division held its annual Student Support Team Conference entitled “Trauma Responsive Education” recently at the Inn at Dromoland in Newmarket on Fergus, Co. Clare.

Limerick and Clare ETB’s inaugural group of Workboat-Master Trainees had plenty of reason for celebration at their recent College of FET conferring ceremony. Shauna Murphy was one of the graduates who had an opportunity to reflect on a busy year of attaining the skills needed to become a competent and employable mariner.
